Leatrice Lee Furfine (nee Lapin) died peacefully, as she wished, on December 13, 2015. She was 91. Her husband, Bernie Lee, predeceased her as did her Mom & Dad, Minnie & Sam Lapin. She is survived by her husband, Allen Furfine, his children, Cindy (Randy Lewis) and Matt (Debra), David (Donna), Lisa and Craig (Natalie) Furfine, grandchildren, Jason (Lynsey) Lewis, Kate Lewis, and Grace, Chloe, Corinne, Camille, Sophia, and Jacob Furfine, and great-granddaughter Norah. She is also survived by her sons, Mark, Dan, & Steve Lee, her daughters(-in-law), Laney Edelman & Lizzie Lee, her grandchildren, Shira, Bernie, Nathan, & Kelsey Lee, her great granddaughter, Ella May Lee, her brother & sister-in-law, Jay & Ruby Lapin and their children, Carol Sue Goodman and Don & Jon Lapin, and an extraordinary number of friends and admirers of all ages – to many of whom she was “Mom” or “Nana.”  She asked that a “Portrait of a Lady,” written by her granddaughter, Shira, appear as her obituary.
