Beloved husband of the late Rosalyn (Roz) Chait Margulis and loving father of their four children:  Scott, Howard, Jeffrey, and Cindy Margulis.

Dear son of the late Lillian Kling Margulis and the late Nathan Margulis, dear brother and brother-in-law of Mildred (the late Morris) Lapidos, the late Isabelle (Jack) Finkelstein and the late Ada (the late Jake) Balk. Beloved son-in-law of the late Sarah Brownstein Chait and the late Abraham Chait and brother-in-law of Marilyn (the late Martin) Chait Rosen and the late Marsha Chait Spak.

Dear grandfather of Jennifer, Michelle, and David Margulis.

Lt. Colonel Lawrence Margulis (Ret.) served in active duty as a Navigator in the United States Air Force in the 1950’s and was stationed at Dover Air Force Base, Scott Air Force Base, and Ellington Air Force Base, followed by years of service in the USAF Reserve prior to his military retirement.

He was most proud of his military service in the U.S. Air Force, traveling around the world and had a lifelong love of flying and aviation and obtained private and commercial pilot licenses, and instrument and flight-instructor ratings. Larry graduated from Soldan High School and received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis. He was integrally involved with the grocery and supermarket industry for many years as an owner of several supermarkets and in later years worked for Dierbergs Supermarkets in their corporate office, field operations, and stores.

The funeral service and interment were private.  The family would like to express special loving thanks to his personal homecare assistant Amy Olson over the last 2 years, as well as to the management and staff of Delmar Gardens Chesterfield for the kind and compassionate care they all gave Larry during his last years and final few months. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to a charity of your choice are appreciated.
