Kenneth graduated from Soldan High School in St. Louis. He volunteered to join the military during World War II and was trained to fly B25 fighter bombers. He returned from the military to run several clothing stores in St. Louis and Belleville, Illinois until he retired at age 65.

The Holtzmans lived in St. Louis until 1991, when they moved to Southern California. They belonged to Shaare Emeth Congregation.

Kenneth loved life, family, and chocolate. All who knew him appreciated his many stories, sense of humor, and generosity.

Ken leaves behind his wife Kay, age 87, daughters, Debbi (David Mark Grebler – deceased) and Nikki (Jess Meyers), grandchildren Jessica and Marcia Meyers, and Sarina, Joshua, and Joel Grebler, and a sister Marilyn Goldberg.
