Judy Zisk Lincoff, July 25, 2017
Judy Zisk Lincoff was born in Miami, Florida on June 4, 1955. She passed away during her favorite time of day, in the early morning of July 25, 2017. Of her many extraordinary accomplishments, the greatest was creating the family she always dreamed of having. Judy was a beautiful wife, best friend and rock to her husband Richard, an extraordinary mother to her daughters, Amanda and Kate and son-in-laws, Ben and Adam, and the energetic grandmother (ZiZi) to her grandchildren, Alexander Joel and Sydney Ann Willmann, Mila Zisk and Elliott Scott Richard Lewis, and loyal daughter of Carolyn Schwartz and Joel and Barbara Zisk.
Judy was a shining star. A woman of unimpeachable integrity. Judy always knew how to make those around her feel smart and important. She had an indelible impact on her incredibly loyal group of family and friends. She was grounded, yet spontaneous; bursting with energy, and yet the most compassionate listener; unrelenting in her zest for life and unyielding in her desire and drive to accomplish everything she set out to do. Judy ran 10 marathons, including the Philadelphia Marathon only 8 months ago. She valued education, earning both a Masters in Business Administration and a Masters in Social Work. She was honored to serve as a professor at the Washington University Brown School of Social Work for 14 years. She co-founded the Jewish Counsel Against Family Violence. She ran her clinical therapy private practice for more than 20 years. She was a traveler, adventurer, mentor, running partner, advisor, therapist, lover and friend to everyone lucky enough to have her light shine into their lives. And yet, she would never believe these words were written about herself. The very fabric of her being, at her core, she was beautiful, humble, and kind, yet full of wit, enthusiasm and class. Judy’s presence is greatly missed by all, and yet her spirit remains omnipresent.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday July 27, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Congregation Temple Israel, located at Ladue and Spoede Roads. There is no visitation prior to the service.
