Jerome A. Cohen

Born March 22, 1928, died March 16, 2022. Graduate of Soldan high school and St. Louis College of pharmacy. Served his country in Korea in the medical corps. Owned and operated Village Pharmacy in Ferguson for forty years. Devoted husband of 71 years, loving father, loved Israel, animals, handball, friends, stock investing, good food and travel. Generous, kind and a friend to every person he ever met. Nobody was a stranger to him. He will be missed by his whole family.

Beloved husband of Frances Steinberg Cohen; dear father of Barbara Swerdlin (Dr. Steven), Bruce Cohen (Leslie) and Dr. Faye Cohen (Brian McCary); dearest grandfather of Nicole Au (William), Alexander Swerdlin, Jeffrey Cohen (Kimberly), Cayley Farkas (Andrew), Scott McCary and the late Candace Cohen; dear great-grandfather of Clifford Au; brother of the late Marion Abitz (late Irving); dear cousin, uncle, and friend to many.

Funeral service Friday, March 18, 11 AM at BERGER MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 9430 Olive Boulevard. MASKS ARE REQUIRED. Interment follows at Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery, 650 White Road.
