Jeannine Meyer Kaufman

Jeannine Meyer Kaufman, June 8, 2021

Beloved wife of the late Alan Kaufman; Beloved mom to her four daughters and son-in-laws Lynda Baum (Marc), Deb Placey (Ed), Wendy Gellman (Mark), and Tracy Petch (Rob); Dear sister-in law to Leslie Kaufman (the late Marilyn). Dear sister to the late Jerry Meyer.

A native St. Louisan, Jeannine met her match in the shoe business… and she and Alan were the perfect pair. They celebrated their 50th Anniversary in May of 2020 and will now be reunited again. A beautiful soul, Jeannine adored her 9 grandchildren Madeline, Tyler, Evan, Caroline, Claire, Ryan, Cole, Kenzie, and Lily. And they thought the world of their Momo.

Jeannine’s life revolved around family as she and Alan meticulously traversed the country to visit loved ones near and far and never missed an important milestone or life event. Always on the sidelines or in the audience, she was endlessly supportive of her children and grandchildren…sharing in every accomplishment with great pride.

Jeannine especially enjoyed her adopted hometown of Scottsdale, AZ, where she loved welcoming family and friends. Even a simple mahjong gathering called for new placemats and delectable food platters. Never one to judge, she was the most positive person. Jeannine found the goodness in all.

For those fortunate to be on her mailing list, Jeannine sent greetings for all occasions – a flare to her inner artist. She will be remembered not only for her perfect penmanship and colorful array of writing utensils, but for the thoughtful words and beautiful sentiments she shared that will live on in our hearts.

A private service to honor her life will be held Friday, June 11th. Memorial contributions preferred to the American Liver Foundation.
