Beloved husband of Jan Paskal for 65 years; dear father and father-in-law of Nathan “Nick” (Judy) of St. Louis and Dr. Steven (the late Andrea Lederfine) of Andover, MA. Adored by seven grandchildren –Amy, Kate, Samantha, Molly, Benjamin, Theodore, and Margaret — and two great-granddaughters – Ella James and Lillian. Dear brother and brother-in-law of the late Meyer (late Esther) Paskal and the late Rose (late Art) Ferdman.

Jim, an early McDonnell Aircraft pioneer, started his career in 1942 as a blueprint operator and advanced to write and illustrate the Pilot’s Handbook of Operating Instructions before becoming Director of Graphics in 1970.

Jim was prominent in local community activities, foremost of these being his involvement with the St. Louis Heart Association, where he served as Chairman of the Board, and received the organization’s most prized award, the Dr. Arthur E. Strauss Award.
