Jack Jacob Shuman

Jack Jacob Shuman, died December 11, 2010. Beloved husband of Bernadine Shuman; dear father of Dr. Deborah (Dr. Stephen) Spector of La Jolla, Calif. and Michael Shuman of Washington, D.C.; loving grandfather of David (Naomi), Jessica and Allison Spector, Adam and Rachel Shuman; beloved great-grandfather of Jacob Spector; dear brother of Myrtle (Arnold) Mullens, George (Marcia) Shuman and Morris (Sylvia) Shuman; our dear uncle, cousin and friend. Jack was a WW II veteran serving as a navigator on B-24 Liberators and he received the distinguished Flying Cross, along with other military honors, for his meritorious service. He was an avid tennis and bridge player, a devoted family man and was loved by all who knew him. Funeral service Tuesday, December 14, 11:00 a.m. at Temple Israel, #1 Alvan D. Rubin Drive (Ladue and Spoede Roads) with interment to follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Shuman 10:00 AM Tuesday at Temple Israel. Preceding the funeral service, there will be a Lodge of Sorrows Service at 10:30 AM, at Temple Israel, given by the members of Elk’s Lodge #9. Contributions to the charity of the donor’s choice.
