Ivan Irl Schenberg, January 4, 2025. Beloved husband of Adele Schenberg (nee Ginsberg) for 61 years, proud father of David L. (Tami) Schenberg and Micki (Mike) Wochner, adoring PaPa to Araia Wochner, Brian Schenberg, and Allie Schenberg, loving brother of Shirlene (late Irl) Baris and Bonnie (Herb) Karfeld, brother-in-law of Cindy (Myron) Fishman, Michael (Michelle) Barack and the late Jamie Richardson, son of the late Becky and Al Schenberg, uncle, cousin, and friend to many.

Ivan graduated from Flynn Park elementary and University City High School, Washington University, where he was a member of ZBT, and from Washington University School of Law. After law school, Ivan served as an officer in the United States Army, and worked as an attorney in private practice and then for the federal government. A rabid sports fan, Ivan coached little league and cheered his children and grandchildren at countless games. He loved attending his grandchildren’s performances and loved playing golf and traveling with Adele and their friends. Ivan was also passionate about public service, serving as Winchester City Attorney, Democratic Committeeman for Creve Coeur Township, a delegate to the 1976 Democratic National Convention, and, after retirement on the St. Louis County Justice Services Advisory Bd. and the Creve Coeur Bd. of Adjustment.

Visitation Wednesday, January 8th, 10:00 AM at BERGER MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 9430 Olive Blvd, followed by funeral service at 10:30 AM. Private family interment.
