Isadore (Bud) Rosen

World War II veteran Isadore (Bud) Rosen, age 95, died May 24, 2018.

Beloved widower of the late Lenore Silverstein Rosen; dear father of Nancy (Pete) Knoll of Port St. Lucie, Florida, Francine Heiken of St. Louis, Missouri and the late Marjorie Rosen of Washington, D.C.; dear son of the late Nathan and Adel Taverman Rosen; grandfather of Douglas (Sanae Fukuda) Cary of Tokyo, Japan, Lauren Heiken of Nashville, Tennessee and Ron Patchell of Chicago, Illinois; great grandfather of Quinn Patchell of Chicago, Illinois and Aska Fukuda Cary and Yamato Fukuda Cary of Tokyo, Japan; brother of the late Blanche (the late Abe) Fischler of Los Angeles, California, and the late Hal Ross of Los Angeles, California; brother-in-law of the late Myrnalee (Abe) Braverman of Kansas City, Kansas; and Sandra (Rabbi Sylvin) Wolf of Naples, Florida and very special friend of the late Ruth Richman of St. Louis.  Dear uncle, cousin and friend.

Mr. Rosen was born in Brooklyn, New York, and  adopted at 3 months of age from Rabbi Stephen S. Wise’s orphan home by Nathan and Adel Rosen of St. Louis.  Bud was a a graduate of Soldan High School class of January 1941 prior to joining the 86thInfantry Division in January 1943.  He was a graduate of St. Louis University with a degree in Finance and Economics. 

Bud had a career with Continental Grain Company, a world-wide grain export corporation for 45 years, from office boy to merchandiser and logistics manager.  He was a member of AZA, B’nai Brith and the Disabled American Veterans and the American Legion.
