FELA IGIELNIK, died Feb. 11, 2009. Widow of Jack Igielnik; born third Chanukah candle 1927 in Warsaw Poland to Boris Froman and Helen Freitag; mother of Simon; mother-in-law of Debbie; Oma of Benjamin, Ruth and Jonathan. Fela was a teacher, friend, speaker and docent at the St. Louis Holocaust Museum and Learning Center and the Midwest Center for Holocaust Education in Kansas City. She was also a volunteer at the Red Cross, loved to exercise and won many medals at the Senior Oympics. Fela survived the Holocaust in various concentration camps; married her husband in Poland and was one of the first female members of the United Mine Workers in the 1950s. In her 40’s she received a GED, attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City and received her bachelor’s degree in language education. Charles B. “Chick” Meyerson, died February 1, 2009. Husband of Dorothy Meyer Meyerson; father of James (Clare) Meyerson of Sunnyvale, Calif., Howard (Cate) Meyerson of Mountain View, Calif., and Judith (Steve) Gorin; grandfather of Charles “Carl” and Julie Meyerson, Dana and Naomi “Amy” Meyerson, Michael and Rachel Gorin; brother-in-law of Robert “Bud” (Jeanette) Meyer.
