ELENORE R. COLLINGER (nee Reifer), died March 29, 2010 at the age of 82. Loving wife, life-long partner and best friend of Bill; dear mother of Lainie Neiman, Tom (Judy Markey) Collinger and Nancy (Marty) Zitlin of Chicago; dear sister of Audrey (Art) Barker of Miami; dear sister-in-law of Sandy Rosen; beloved grandmother of Andrew, David and Emily (fianc é Simon Abramson) Neiman, Zach and Kate Collinger and Amanda and Matthew Zitlin; dear aunt of Mindy and Kathy Boxer of Los Angeles, Sherry Rosen of Kansas City, Larry Rosen, Doug (Alison) Collinger and Julie (Zachary) Fleck. Eleanor moved to St. Louis in 1936 from Pittsburgh, Penn. with her parents, Gilly and Rebecca and her sister Audrey and met her future husband, Bill, at Shaare Emeth Confirmation Class when they were 14 years old and have been sweethearts ever since. They married in 1948 and would have been married 62 years June 22. Elenore was a presence, never knew a stranger, an enthusiast in all aspects of her life, a wife, mother, volunteer, accomplished golfer, bridge player, tap dancer, life-long learner and friend. She will be long remembered by the many people whose lives she touched and will be forever missed by the family whom she cherished and the friends she adored.
