CYNTHIA JO SONNENSCHEIN (VOGEL) died, August 2, 2009 at the age of 56. Wife of Leonard Sonnenschein; mother of Canaan and Alexis; daughter of Joe and Sue Vogel; daughter-in-law of Ralph and Annette Sonnenschein, brothers, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Cindy was a Parkway West High and Webster University alum. She taught for 30 years, beginning with kindergarten at Henry Elementary School and moved to Craig Elementary School where she taught kindergarten, 2nd, 3rd and 4th grades over the past 24 years. She spent a great deal of time traveling with her husband, enjoying time with her children and her furry dog pals, reading, lunching out with friends and volunteering. In 2008, Cindy became a Pillar of Parkway, the school districts highest honor. There will be a Memorial for Cindy on Sunday, August 23 at 3 PM at B’nai El Congregation located on the north outer road of Highway 40 (64), just west of the Spoede Road Exit with a social hour immediately afterwards.
