Born June 5, 1945, he was the son of the late Gordon “Gus” and the late Miriam “Aurnett” Frieberger; father of Sara and Lisa Frieberger; brother of Fran (Jim) Jackson; uncle of Jason James, Lara James Veon, Sarah (Delynd) Orr, Donny (Michaela Wassler) Jackson and Jimmy (Lesa) Jackson and families; cousin to Bernie (Gloria) Morganstern, the late Donna Lyss, the late Faye Navigato, Carl Poslosky, Maxine (Ira) Miler, Michelle (Dr. Josie) Shwartz, Frank (Lynette) Siteman, Melissa Ginter, Harriet Rebore, Dr. Ron (Sandy) Rebore, Dr. Bill (Joyce) Rebore, Debbie (Ted) Happel and families; former husband and friend of Dr. Susan (Dr. Judel) Lew. David loved playing the piano, watching Cardinals baseball games, fishing, dancing, donating his time to Kiwanis International and was a gifted architect. MARLENE FRANCES GREEN KOPMAN, died August 16, 2009. Wife of Jerome (Jerry) Kopman; mother of the late Jeffrey Kopman and Richard (Ricky) Kopman; sister of Bette Jean (the late Sam) Greenblatt; aunt of Joanne (Jeff) Mishkin and Jackie Greenblatt; great-aunt to Samantha, Lauren and Jacob Mishkin; daughter of the late Emil and Lillian Green. Marlene’s contributions included her involvement with Jewish Hospital and the School of Nursing. She was a volunteer and on the board of the auxillary. She also served on the Board of Directors and Vice-President of Administratoin for the National Council of Jewish Women. In 1960, she was the Founder of Rainbow Village, a facility with housing, recreation and respit center, the first of its kind in Missouri. She was President of Rainbow Village and the St. Louis Arc, serving individuals with developmental disabilities and was President Emeritus of the St. Louis Arc. She was also involved in the Red Cross, and was a co-founder of the West County Sheltered Workshop. In 1979 she received the Women of Achievement Award for Social Responsibility and was appointed by then President Jimmy Carter to serve on the Presidential Committee of Mental Retardation.
