Over her lifetime, Sylvia was employed as a social columnist for Sunshine Publications and for the Missouri Jewish Post and Opinion. She served as a lecturer and as the PR Director for Weight Watchers of Greater Missouri for 24 years. Her many passions ranged from contesting to genealogy, co-founding the St. Louis Jewish Genealogical Society with Arthur. Her greatest joy in life was her family.
