David A. Greditzer, died September 11, 2009 in Malibu, Ca. Formerly of St. Louis, husband of Lynne; father of Lindy (Lewis) Barrett of Seattle, Wash., and Jan (Les) Shenberg of St. Louis; grandfather of Rachel and Samantha Barrett. Dee, as he was known to all, was a graduate of University City High School. After serving as a medic during WWII, he returned to complete his undergraduate degree from St. Louis University and his master’s degree in psychology from Washington University. He then joined the staff of the Jewish Federation as Assistant Director of the Jewish Employment and Vocational Services. Later he moved to Los Angeles, Ca. where he continued serving the Jewish community as Director of Handcraft Industries, a vocational workshop serving the physically and mentally challenged, until his retirement. A. Edward Nussbaum, Ph.D., died October 31, 2009. Husband of Anne Ebbin Nussbaum; father of Karl Erich Nussbaum and Franziska Suzanne Nussbaum; son of the late Karl and the late Franziska Nussbaum; brother of the late Erwin Nussbaum and the late Liese Lotte Nussbaum; brother-in-law of David Bernard (Mili) Ebbin and Steven (Marilyn) Ebbin. Mr. Nussbaum was born in Moenchen-Gladbach-Rheydt, Germany in 1925. He and his wife were married September 1, 1957. Lauren Beth Schwartz, died November 3, 2009. Daughter of Nancy (Al) Rose and J. Lauren graduated from Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day School and attended the Fashion Institute of Technology, Indiana University and The Art Institute of Dallas. Lauren’s credo was that she was not going to let Cystic Fibrosis control her life and she lived with grace, dignity and courage.
