Beloved husband of Gloria Cimmet Scheinkman for 56 years; dear father of Allyn Lawrence Scheinkman, Michael Richard Scheinkman (Suzy Kern) of San Diego and Stacey Lea Scheinkman; dear grandfather of Linus Joseph Scheinkman; dear son of the late Alexander Scheinkman and the late Fanny Minnie Preluck Scheinkman; dear brother of the late Sylvia Krawll (late Albert), the late Jacob “Jack” Scheinkman (late Cecile “Sissy”) and the late Samuel Scheinkman (late Eileen “Ida”); dear uncle, cousin and friend. 

Robert was born in St. Louis and graduated from University City High School in 1952. He joined the Navy Reserves, retired to the Naval Reserve Retired List after 24 faithful years, and was a successful St. Louis-area businessperson in fields that included advertising, furniture sales, and collections. He also was a trustee of the Whispering Hills Subdivision. Robert was a lifetime member of the Inventors Association of Saint Louis and was a tireless champion of bringing better public awareness to inventor information, including manufacturing, marketing, patent, and trademarks. He also was the owner of Pioneer Home Furnitures, formerly known as Scheinkman Clothing and Furniture Company, as well as Independent Merchants Corporation (IMC), ACE Furniture, as well as a property-owner with business tenants. 

Visitation Thursday, January 30, 1 p.m. at BERGER MEMORIAL CHAPEL, 9430 Olive Boulevard. Funeral service will follow at 1:30 p.m. Interment at Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery, 7500 Olive Boulevard.
