Gloria Sue Stern-Ellis, a St. Louis native who moved to Palm Harbor, Fla. 22 years ago, died January 8, 2016 at age 78. She was the daughter of Harry and Naomi Goffstein. She was a former member of the United Hebrew Congregation of St. Louis, MO and was a member of Congregation Schaarai Zedek in Tampa. Gloria was an avid Ray’s and Cardinal’s fan but was mostly devoted to her family.  She was the Best mom ever.  She was preceded in death by her first husband, of 19 years, Bernard Marvin Stern. Survivors include her beloved husband of 32 years, Phil Ellis; daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Tony Minetti, Ellen Stern and Brian Kutza; son and his spouse, David Stern and Alejandro Shepard; stepson, Michael Ellis and wife, Sandy; and stepdaughter, Shari Ellis; brother, John Goffstein; grandchildren, Rachel Minetti, Kendra Kutza, Simon Ellis, Rebeckah Ellis, Nathan Lee, Ashley Lee, and Dawn Ellis and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
