Gilbert M. Jaffe, died April 24, 2011 in Eagan, Minn. born in St. Louis July 19, 1918 to the late Irving and the late Ida Jaffee; widower of Marie Schneider Jaffe to whom he was married 49 years; brother of the late Doris Ann (“Sis”) Cassell and seven brothers and sisters-in-law; father of Jeffrey P. (Sarah MacRae-Jaffe) Jaffe of Mendota Heights, Minn. and Dale J. (Eleanor Miller) Jaffe of South Burlington, Vt. Grandfather of Andrew, Samantha, Amelia and Jill, 12 nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly. Known as “Gil”, “Gib”, and “Gibby”, to his many friends and associates in several locales over his 92 years of life, he was the consummate businessman, gentleman, and family man. He was a member of Benjamin Franklin Lodge No. 642 and Scottish Rite since 1946 and served his country overseas during WW II.
