In 1944 George served in the U.S army as an interpreter and was very proud to have served. After his discharge from the military George lived in Greenwich New York where he continued his education earning a degree in accounting at New York University in 1949. George decided to move to Missouri after accepting an offer with a St. Louis accounting firm.

During George’s career of over 65 years in the accounting field he was proud to have served as the chairman of the ethics committee for the American institute of CPA’s. George worked tirelessly and took great pride in his work being highly respected in his field and by all of his clients.

It was in St. Louis in 1956 where George married his first wife Marlene after meeting at a synagogue function. After Marlene had passed in 1998 George moved to Kansas City to be near his son.

At age 74 George was blessed to meet Janetta his second wife of 17 years of marriage to which he would have someone to share the remainder of his life experiences. After all the hard years of my father’s life he travelled the world with his wife to special places like Venice and even back to Hamburg where he was born.

George was also very proud to have had bestowed upon him the title of Marquis von Boheme.
