Frederick Kodner

Frederick Kodner passed away the morning of November 25th, 2023. He was surrounded by his family after a hard fought battle with cancer.

Fred is survived by his wife of 62 years, Antonia Kodner, his children Doreen (Michael) Phillips, Lori (Kevin) Hartley, David (Lisa) Kodner and Patricia (Robert) Imboden. Nine grandchildren and their spouses, and nine great grandchildren. His sister Lillian (John of blessed memory) Katz. Proceeded in death by his parents Joseph and Rose Kodner.

Fred spent his life and career in St. Louis as an educator in the Parkway School District. He was a Life Sciences teacher and was known for building a living stream around the edges of his classroom every year. He spent his summers administrating Parkway summer schools and teaching grade school woodworking. His greatest passions were teaching, golf, and painting.

Visitation Monday, November 27th 10 -10:30 AM at United Hebrew Congregation. 13788 Conway Rd., St. Louis, Missouri 63141. The Funeral Service will begin at 10:30 AM.  Interment to follow at Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery, 650 White Rd., Chesterfield, Missouri 63017.
