FREDERIC COHEN, July 16, 1928 – Sept. 6, 2019 (age 91 years). 

Beloved husband of Vera Cohen. Dear father of Norman (Sara) Cohen, Scott (Nikki) Cohen and Jay (Patty) Cohen. Loving grandfather of David (Alexis) Cohen, Jonathan (Nicole) Cohen, Brian and Bradley Cohen. Dear great-grandfather of Elyas, Scarlett and Tate Cohen. Beloved brother-in-law of Sibby and Melvin Cosner of Kansas City and the late Sue and Frederick Fruhauf of Wichita, KS. Dear uncle of the late Alan Cosner, Nancy (Rich) Kohn, Gail (Mark) Tucker, Beth Cosner, Karen Rozen, Kenneth (Pam) Fruhauf and Richard (Julie) Fruhauf. 

Aside from his devotion to his family, Fred’s interests included world history, classical music, linguistics and world travel. His true passion however was flying. He was an expert pilot and flew his own airplanes for 50 years, visiting all 48 continental states and Canada. In his 60-plus year career he was a successful salesman, retailer, importer, wholesaler, real estate developer (The Marketplace in Ladue and Lamp & Lantern Village) and all-around entrepreneur. 

Funeral service Monday, September 9, 11:00 a.m. at Temple Israel in the May Chapel, 1 Rabbi Alvan D. Rubin Drive (Ladue and Spoede Roads) with interment to follow at Beth Hamedrosh Hagodol Cemetery, 9125 Ladue Road. Visitation with the family beginning at 10:30 a.m. until time of service.
