Eleanor Hollander Gale, died May 29, 2011. Born in St. Louis, she was the beautiful daughter of the late Sam (the late Rose) Hollander; widow of Burton Stanley Gale, to whom she was married 58 years; mother of Sharon Gale and Carla Gale; sister of Bea Hollander and Dr. Dory Hollander; sister-in-law of Joan (the late Sheldon) Krasnow and Dr. Arthur (Marilyn) Gale, aunt, cousin and friend to many. Eleanor graduated with honors from Washington University in business and art. An intrepid traveler, she loved to travel with her husband and daughters and had visited all seven continents with them. She was strong, independent, always willing to help, bright, generous, intelligent and a great artist. She was a remarkable woman and will be missed.
