Elaine Davis Carp Oberman, 92, passed away on August 5, 2019 in St. Louis.

Born in Chicago to the late Abert and Bernice Davis, Elaine moved to St. Louis in 1942 where she would raise her family. Loving mother of Stanford (Mueriel) Carp and Bernice Carp.  Beloved grandmother of Elizabeth (Brad) Wallace, Scott (Jamie) Berzon, Brian (Heather) Carp and Adam (Nina) Berzon. Doting great-grandmother of nine. Wife of the late Jack Oberman and the late Herbert Carp. 

Elaine was the matriarch of her family, giving advice without judgement, showing pride in theiraccomplishments, always there to offer support or a hand. A caring friend and consummate hostess, she made the best matzah ball soup and brisket. Elaine graduated from Clayton High School and routinely knew the answer to Final Jeopardy into her 90s. 

Funeral service is planned for Thursday Aug. 8 at Berger Memorial Chapel at 11:30 a.m. with visitation taking place at 10:45 a.m., immediately prior to the service. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the wonderful staff at Evelyn’s House for their compassionate care.
