Edward Daniel Schapiro, died February 7, 2015. Beloved husband of Nancy Schapiro; dear father and father-in-law of Barbara (Glenn Scott), Ellen (Gerald Axelbaum) and Jane (Scott Brown) Schapiro; dear grandfather of Owen and Mira Scott, Daniel, Emily, Evan (Alannah Glickman) and Miriam Axelbaum, Naomi (Yoni Saad), Tamara and Eliana Brown; dear great-grandfather of Lila Scott; dear brother and brother-in-law of Gail (William) Friedman; our dear uncle, cousin and friend. Ed was a founder of Permaneer Corp. which subsequently went public. He taught classes in entrepreneurship at Washington University School of Business and was a board member of Webster University as well as The Scholarship Foundation and Jewish Center for the Aged. He served in the Air Force during WWII. Ed will be remembered for his generosity, optimism and love for his family. He will be greatly missed. Graveside service Tuesday, February 10th, 1:00 PM at B’nai Amoona Cemetery, 930 North and South.
