EDWARD CHASKELSON

Ed Chaskelson has passed away. He was the son of the late Harry Chaskelson and the late Edna (Blum) Chaskelson and cousin of Ellen  (Zemliak) Tenenbaum and Bernard Tenenbaum. The shy gentle giant (9/13/1951 – 4/9/2021) was a walking encyclopedia of knowledge about movies and the Golden Age of Television. He was a long-time member of the St Louis chapter of the Sons of the Desert (the International Laurel & Hardy Appreciation Society) and Saturday Night Screening Room (a group of film collectors and movie buffs). Ed could have been seen in his beloved Delmar Loop visiting the U City Library and the Tivoli and occasionally venturing westward to Frank & Helens. His happy smiling attitude was a joy to his many friends who wish that he could be there with us when we are again able to have our Laurel & Hardy and screening room gatherings. Contributions may be made to Jewish Family Services of St. Louis, a vitally important part of Ed’s life and well-being.
