Dr. Michele Shoresman, January 18, 2025

Beloved wife of Gary Bilow; dear mother and mother-in-law of Aaron (Kristin) Shoresman, Norman (Shannon) Bilow and Benjamin (Amy) Bilow; dear grandmother of Goldie Bilow, Layla Bilow, Ace Bilow, Simone Bilow, Naomi Bilow and Ian Bilow; dear sister of Ilona Wagner; aunt, cousin and friend to many. Her passions included her grandchildren, travel, fashion, the arts, and education.

Vibrant and ambitious, Michele earned a PhD in International and Comparative Education from the University of Illinois. It was her life’s work and gave her great joy to empower young people through education – not just in the classroom but through meaningful cultural exchanges. Ever generous and kind, she facilitated both for hundreds of students from all over the world – for whom she served as a mother figure while they studied in the United States. She treasured their friendships and enjoyed staying in touch with many of them years after educational journeys concluded.

Graveside service Tuesday January 21, 1 PM at Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery, 650 White Rd. 63017. Memorial contributions preferred to the Michele I. Shoresman Study Abroad Scholarship Fund, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, and Congregation Shaare Emeth.
