Dr. Martin Sherer

Dr. Martin Sherer, died November 7, 2010 at age 75 after a long and courageous battle with Parkinson’s Disease. Formerly of Clayton, Mo., father of Barbara Sherer (Dr. Howard Kohn) of University City; Susan Sherer of Henderson, Nev.; Michael Sherer( Valerie) of Atlanta, Ga. and Dr. David Sherer of Pittsburgh, Penn.; grandfather of Sarah Sherer-Kohlburn and Anna Powell.; life partner Linda Eckenrode. Dr. Sherer practiced cardiology in the St. Louis area until 1988 when he relocated to a medically underserved area of West Virginia in need of a cardiologist to treat coal miners who were victims of Black Lung Disease.
