Dorothy Stein, originally of Detroit, MI, peacefully transitioned Tuesday afternoon surrounded by her loving family. “Dot”, as she was affectionately known, was born September 21, 1922 to Minnie (Swerling) and Harry Stiglitz. Dot will be remembered for her many professional accomplishments, love of travel, strength of character, social activism, strong sense of community, and her steadfast dedication to family and friends.Those left to cherish her memory include her son David Sein, daughter-in-law Terri, grandchildren Eliana and Keaton; daughter Deena Stein Greenblatt, son-in-law Gershon, grandsons Ariel and Noam; numerous friends and extended family around the world.Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband Berthold and son Eli. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dorothy’s treasured charities; Lift for Life Academy, Lift for Life Gym and Jewish National Fund. Memorial service will be held 9:00 a.m. Sunday, October 8th at Berger Memorial Chapel, 9430 Olive Blvd., St.Louis, MO 63132.
