Dorothy Rosenbloom, age 92, July 2, 2021
Beloved wife of Sam Rosenbloom for 74 years; much loved mother of Carol (late Kevin) Ross and the late Stephen Rosenbloom; loving grandmother of Emily (Adrian) Ross; dearest daughter of the late Isadore and Sarah Rippa; dear sister of the late Robert (late Arline) Rippa; and loving aunt, cousin and friend to many.
Dorothy was a determined problem-solver and she approached every obstacle with amazing resilience, strength and grace. She loved to garden and to travel; she was an enthusiastic reader and loved word puzzles and games. She played weekly card games with her some of her closest friends, and in later years she was devoted to Duplicate Bridge.
Dorothy also gave generously of herself and her time. Among her projects, she was a creative Brownie and Scout Leader; she volunteered for CARIH (Children’s Asthma Research Institute and Hospital), St. Louis Jewish Hospital and the Children’s Orphanage that is now Every Childs Hope. May her memory be a blessing.
Private services were held. Memorial contributions preferred to the Brain Injury Association of Missouri, 2265 Schuetz Rd. 63146 or a charity of your choice.
