Donald Harvey Friedman

Donald Harvey Friedman, died November 2, 2012 at age 69 in Peoria, Ariz. peacefully in his sleep. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on May 7, 1943 to Irvin and Miriam Friedman. Don graduated from Horton Watkins High School, earned a Bachelor of Science in Business from Arizona State University, and continued his education at American University, achieving an MBA. Don was an avid tennis player for many years, enjoyed performing in musical theatre, coaching little league, and traveling this country and overseas. Don loved to host picnics, holiday parties, and bar-be-cues. Before retirement, Don worked many years as an auditor for the General Accounting Office, McDonnell Douglas, and ultimately, the Boeing Company. Don was a lifetime member of the Certified Fraud Examiners group and had 2 holes-in-one to his credit on the golf course. He and Leslie retired to the Phoenix area to be close to and spend time with their family. Don leaves behind the light of his life, his best friend and wife Leslie Friedman; his children, daughter Julie (Patrick) Smith, son Douglas (Christie) Friedman; brother Steven (Meri) Friedman, and sister Judith (Bruce) Raben. His legacy will continue through his cherished grandchildren, Rachel, Kelly, and Grady. Please join Donald’s family for an outdoor Memorial Service on Wednesday, November 7th at 10:00 am in front of the Peace Mausoleum at Sunland Memorial Park 15826 Del Webb Blvd. Sun City, AZ 85351.
