Debera Libkind

Debera Libkind of University City died Dec. 25, 2017 at Missouri Baptist Hospital following a long illness.
She was born in Elizabeth, NJ and graduated from Battin High School. She earned her undergraduate degree from Trenton State College (now the College of New Jersey), a master’s from Bowling Green State University (Ohio), and a doctorate in small group dynamics from Purdue University. She spent most of her career as an organizational development professional for various companies in the St. Louis area, including Anheuser-Busch and Pet, and later consulted to a number of other organizations, including the Veterans Administration.
Debera was enthusiastic about art and travel. While an undergraduate, she visited Israel under the auspices of Experiment in International Living, working on both a kibbutz and moshav. She returned to Israel for visits after completing her education. Until her health declined, she was the loving owner of two large, playful dogs.
Debera is survived by her brother, Robert, of Philadelphia. She was predeceased by her parents, Archie and Miriam, and her sister, Beth.
Graveside service Friday, December 29th, 11:00 AM at United Hebrew Cemetery, 7855 Canton Avenue.
