David Richard Lewin

David Richard Lewin passed away on June 1, 2019 at age 79.

David was a native of St. Louis, MO and graduated from University City High School and Tulane University. He served proudly in the US Air Force as an air traffic controller. Additionally, he was the third generation to have owned and operated the family business, Lewin Bookbinding, which he successfully ran for more than 20 years. During this time he was honored by his peers by being elected president of the Bookbinders Association of America.

Following the selling of his business, David focused his efforts on efficiency and productivity, consulting with many businesses across the country. He spent his final 21 years living in Huntington Beach, CA working as a realtor.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Gigi (Glenda), his daughter Cindy Siegel (Allan), his son Brad Lewin (Beth), his step daughter Elizabeth Bonneau (Phillipe), and his step son Eric Schaub (Lila) , 8 grandchildren, his brother Jim Lewin (Joann), many nieces and nephews and his first wife Barb Sander (Joe). He was predeceased by his father Abe Lewin, mother Ida Lewin, and his sister Audrey Goldstein.

A celebration of David’s life will be held at 11 am, on Tuesday, June 11, at Temple Bat Yahm – 1011 Camelback St, Newport Beach, CA 92660.
