David Plengemeier, April 21, 2022

Beloved husband of Iris Plengemeier Shepard and the late Vicki Plengemeier; loving father of Debbie Wahl (Aaron) and Amy Wilson (Tommy); dear grandfather of Rachel and Adam Wahl and Jimmy and Annie Wilson; dear brother and brother-in-law of Sandy Vitt (Dave), the late Harold Plengemeier (Linda), and Susie Vogt; dear brother-in-law of Gary Sipkin (Judy) and Dennis Sipkin (Margie). David will always be remembered by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family. He was a beloved friend to many.

David was the nicest guy you could ever meet. He was a graduate of Ladue High School and the University of Missouri. Alongside his father and brother, David owned and operated the Branding Iron Restaurant in Clayton and had a long career in the St. Louis restaurant industry. David was a passionate fan of the Missouri Tigers and St. Louis Cardinals. He enjoyed cooking, traveling, playing golf, bird watching, whistling, and – most of all – spending time with his grandchildren. His kind heart and bright smile will be dearly missed.

Visitation Tuesday, April 26 at 10 am at Congregation Shaare Emeth, 11645 Ladue Road. A Funeral Service follows at 11 am. Please use South entrance at Ballas and Ladue Roads. Interment follows at Beth Shalom Cemetery, 650 White Road. Memorial contributions preferred to Operation Food Search, 1644 Lotsie Blvd, St. Louis, MO 63132.
