Cynthia Marilyn (Seigel) Tober

Cynthia Marilyn (Seigel) Tober, 97, widow of Irwin Tober, passed away Sunday, October 10, 2021 in Sarasota, Florida. Daughter of Albert and Frances Seigel and devoted mother to her three children, Cynthia was born on September 11, 1924 in St. Louis, Missouri.  In her younger days, she enjoyed bowling, and was an excellent golfer, winning trophies and tournaments at Meadowbrook Country Club.

Cynthia was very involved in volunteer work for Jewish organizations, including The Jewish Federation of St Louis and The Jewish Community Center Association.   She also worked as a travel agent, visiting various destinations in Europe, Africa, and Asia with her husband Irwin.   She spent four years living in Florence, Italy with her family and was instrumental in organizing a museum at the local synagogue.

Predeceased by her brother Joel Seigel and her husband Irwin, she is survived by her son and two daughters: James Tober and his wife Patricia of Manhattan, Laurie Kielmovitch and husband Isaac of Orlando, FL and Angela Rattigan and husband Kevin of Sarasota, FL – grandson Connor Rattigan, granddaughters Valerie Mandel and Alicia Kielmovitch and Elizabeth Degree– and two great grandchildren, Joshua Mandel and Josephine Degree.

Funeral service Thursday, October 21, 11 AM at B’nai Amoona Cemetery, 930 North and South Road. Memorial contributions preferred to the charity of your choice. BERGER MEMORIAL SERVICE
