Cynthia K. Sandler

Cynthia K. Sandler

Cynthia K. Sandler, March 1st, 1948 to May 1st, 2021

Beloved wife of Alan, adored mother to Amy (Rubin), Jim and Robby, and mother-in-law to Mark Rubin. She was the caring grandmother to Catalina and Chase Rubin, and Liam Sandler. Cynthia passed away Saturday morning with her family at her side, and after an all-night vigil filled with humor and grief. She died after a years-long battle with cancer which she fought with courage and grace.

Cynthia was born and raised in St. Louis, the daughter of Max and Rose Kramer, and sister to Michael and the late Marshall Kramer. She met her husband, Alan, after being introduced by mutual friends and began a loving partnership that lasted nearly 50 years. Cynthia leaves a legacy defined by her quick wit and humor, her advocacy for and fierce defense of Democratic ideals and social justice, and, of course, her devoted love and compassion for her family and friends.

A funeral service will be held Monday, May 2nd, at 2:30 p.m. at United Hebrew Cemetery, 7855 Canton Ave., St. Louis, MO 63130 and live-streamed at https://boxcast.tv/view/cynthia-k-sandler-funeral-service-807697. Donations can be made to the Humane Society of Missouri at https://www.hsmo.org/
