Charlyne Goldman Shifrin died peacefully in Scottsdale, Arizona, February 18, 2015. 

Daughter of the late Max and Lena (Stein) Goldman. Beloved wife of 56 years to the late Sanford Shifrin; dear sister of the late Sol, Arthur, Jerry, Dr. Melvin Goldman and Selma (Ben) Cohen. Loving mother of Debbie Stone Evans and Lisa (Bob) Barnitt; dear grandmother of Stephanie Chesnick, Rebecca (Steven) Ast, Rachel and Elizabeth Barnitt; dear great grandmother of Evan and Emily Ast.

Charlyne was born on August 29, 1927 in St. Louis, where she resided until moving to Scottsdale in 1996. After graduating from University City High School, she received a degree in business from Washington University in St. Louis. Charlyne enjoyed volunteering for various organizations including the Miriam School and B’nai B’rith.

Charlyne joins her devoted husband Sandy at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix. She will be fondly remembered for her valuable friendship to many, and for the love she gave her husband, children and grandchildren.
