Celia Jo (Beanie) Agatstein, died August 20, 2014 at age 100 in Denver, Colo. surrounded by loved ones.  Born in 1914 to Maurice Phillip and Fannie Chasnoff Phillip, she grew up as an only child in Mexico, Mo.  She briefly lived in Boston where she attended Simmons College. She then returned to Missouri and spent the majority of her life in St. Louis.  She gave back to her community by volunteering at a local hospital and a local elementary school.  She was a skilled craftswoman and a tremendous sports fan.  She loved a cold martini and a good mystery novel. Widow of Sylvan Agatstein; devoted mother of Jane Diamond and Barbara Agatstein; loving nana of Michael Diamond, Laurie Diamond. Betsy McPherson and husband Brannon McPherson;  great-grandmother of Spencer McPherson, age 10, Andrew McPherson, age 7, and Margot McPherson, age 4. She especially adored her grand-dogs, Millie and Daisy until her final days. We will remember her fabulous style, sense of humor, and her total devotion to her family and wide circle of friends.
