Brad Schwartz, age 62, passed away, Sunday, May 8, 2022. He was born November 17, 1959 in St. Louis, the eldest son of Arthur and Susan (nee Lippman) Schwartz. Brad received his Master’s degree from Washington University, and was owner of Liberty Auto Parts.American Heart Association.
He had a love and compassion for theater directing, seeing Broadway shows in New York, traveling with his family. He was a prolific director of theater productions in St. Louis throughout his life and was a multiple winner of the Arts for Lifetime Best Achievement in Directing Award. One friend has commented that “Brad was a remarkable gentleman… talented and creative… and loved to introduce children to theater. His smile and encouragement will be missed. I guess there is a show in heaven that God needed a director for.” Brad is the beloved husband of Janet Robey-Schwartz; loving father of Jamie Schwartz, and Jacob Schwartz; dear son of Arthur and Susan Schwartz; brother of Joel (Mary Ann) Schwartz, Loren (Dennis) Schwartz-Currans, Lindsey (Jack) Terry; and nephew of Kenneth (Lucy) Schwartz, and Richard (late Anita) Lippman.
