Betty Strauss-Baron, 90, of Phoenix, passed away peacefully on February 4, 2016. Betty is preceded in death by first husband Stanley Strauss and second husband Charles Baron, parents Abraham and Bea Wolfson, and her brother Louis Wolfson. She is survived by her children David Strauss (Ramona), Carol Strauss-Coffey (Patrick), granddaughters Catherine Serna (Frederick), Sarah Mays (Jason), Jennifier Levy-Strauss (Michael Alvarado), Monique Graham (Ben), Miranda Powell (Ryan), and Pele-Maree Levy-Strauss. Betty was also blessed with 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Betty grew up in Grand Rapids, Mich., and lived in St. Louis during her marriage to Stanley. She moved to Arizona in 1983. Over the years through work, temple, and numerous volunteer positions, Betty developed many friendships that were very special to her. She will be missed by all who knew her. Services were held on February 11, 2016, at 11:30 a.m. at Congregation Beth Israel in Scottsdale, Ariz. A celebration of life was held on February 14, 2016, at her last place of residence in Phoenix.
