Betty Cohn Brown, age 93 died peacefully June 25th, 2018 surrounded by her family and loved ones. She is preceded in death by the love of her life Jordan Brown, beloved parents, Louis G. Cohn and Sarah Deutschman Cohn, brothers Mayer Cohn, Howard Cohn, and sister Delores Salzman.

Betty was born in Waterloo, Iowa, and lived in New Orleans where she met and married her husband and raised her three daughters. Following Hurricane Katrina, Betty relocated to St. Louis where she resided until her death. She enjoyed life to the fullest embracing music, painting, dancing, her family and friends. She attended Newcomb College art school and became an accomplished artist.  She was a lifetime member of Hadassah and Congregation Gates of Prayer.

Betty is survived by her three daughters Randee Jacobs (Myron), Debra Grossman (Leonard), and Janette Brown and treasured grandchildren  Kim Jacobs, Shana Singer (Gary), Jennifer Jacobs(Jeff Stettner), Rachel Perry(David), Kevin Brown (Liz), David Brown and great grandchildren Ari, Evan, Marlee and Mia Singer, Jordan Stettner, and Ethan and Lyla Perry. 

She touched the lives of many people with her infectious smile, style, and magnetic personality which she maintained until the end. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday, June 27, 2018 3 p.m. at Congregation Gates of Prayer, 4000 West Esplanade Avenue in New Orleans followed by a reception.  The family requests all donations be sent to Congregation Gates of Prayer or Jewish Federation.
