Betty Birnbaum Hearsh, died December 23, 2011. Beloved wife of Howard Hearsh for nearly 62 years; dear mother of Bradford, Wendye and Randal Hearsh; dear sister of the late Joseph (the late Ann) and the late I.S. “Bill” (the late Helen) Birnbaum; our dear sister-in-law, aunt and friend. She was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas and graduated with honors in Fashion Design from Washington University Art School. She became a faculty member of the Art School teaching fashion design where she was highly regarded by her students, many of whom remained in contact with her to this day. In addition, she was a long-standing member and former President of the Fashion Group of St. Louis, and later pursued her passion for travel and physical fitness by becoming a travel agent specializing in health and wellness spas. Her energy, her love and commitment to her family and her great sense of style will be remembered by those she touched. We will all miss her. Funeral service Wednesday, December 28th 11 a.m. at Congregation Temple Israel May Chapel, Ladue and Spoede Roads. Visitation 10:30 a.m. Private interment.
