Beloved husband of the late Charlotte Kamberg Loitman; dear father of the late George Loitman, Deborah (Jorge) Sanchez, Robert Loitman, Jane Loitman MD and Carol (Michael) Greenspun; dear grandfather of Samantha (Elliott Usher) Sanchez, Stephanie (fiancé J.R. Gates) Sanchez, Stewart, Sophia and Scott Sanchez, Tyler Loitman, Charlie and Elliot Loitman, Allie, Jordan, Caity and Bennett Greenspun; dear great-grandfather of Avery and Margaret Usher; dear son of the late Israel and the late Elizabeth Loitman; dear brother of the late Eleanor Garber, the late Ruth Sherman and the late George Loitman; loving uncle and friend to many.
Bernard graduated from Harvard University – Class of 1950 and Tufts Medical School – Class of 1953. He was a Naval Pilot in the Pacific during World War II. Dr. Loitman practiced radiology in St. Louis for more than 30 years. He loved painting, woodworking, music, and the arts, but nothing was more dear in his life than his family.
