Arnold Gilden

Arnold Gilden, November 19, 2021

Beloved son of the late Louis and the late Edna Gilden.  Dear brother of the late Dr. Jerome Gilden and the late Arthur Gilden.  A friend to many from all around.

Arnold graduated Soldan High School in 1952, attended Washington University, and obtained a Masters of Art and Teaching from Webster University in 1970. He then went on to pursue a career as Marketing Director for WGNU Radio Station where he became close friends with his boss, Chuck Norman.  When not in the office, you could find Arnold mingling at the Chase with some of the best: Joe Lewis, Morris Schenker, Teddy and Harold Koplar, and so many more.  He even helped the Supremes write one of their songs, “Someday We’ll Be Together”.

Arnold had great success in numerous areas of sports and he even won twelve gold medals in the Senior Olympics, one of his proudest moments.  Arnold could talk with anyone from all walks of life; he never met a stranger, and always made a friend.   He was a generous soul and he will be missed by all that knew him.

Graveside service Sunday, November 21, 10:00am at Chesed Shel Emeth Cemetery, 7550 Olive Blvd.  Contributions in Arnold’s memory may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
