Arlene Dolores Gerber (nee Radloff), May 26, 1928 – November 1, 2023

Beloved wife of the late Gene P. Gerber.  Dear mother of Randy S. (Donna) Gerber, Debbie (Dr. David) Caplin and Richard D. (Charolette Courtney) Gerber. Loving grandmother of Elizabeth (Clinton) Biondo, Rabbi David (Lauren) Gerber, Jonathan (Ashley) Caplin,  Stephanie (Dr. Jonathan) Zoller, Robert (Lauren) Caplin, Daniel Gerber and Alexandra Gerber. Cherished great grandmother of Dylan, Cameron, Paige, Tessa, Sloan, Lilly, Amelia, Isabella and Harrison. Beloved sister of the late Joan R. Wyner. Loving aunt to Lori (Dr. David) German, Paul (Kay) Wyner and Jennifer (Timothy) Canizares. Beloved daughter of the late Esther “Boots” and Paul B. Radloff.

Arlene studied art at Washington University and married the love of her life immediately after the Korean War.  Arlene was happy at home reading a book, drawing, knitting, and watching politics and sports on television. Arlene was a great listener and the consummate guidance counselor to her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She told you what you needed to hear, which was not always what you wanted to hear. Arlene was the matriarch of our family and she will be missed by many.

Graveside service Friday, November 3, 11:00am at B’nai Amoona Cemetery, 930 North and South Road.
