Arleen Tamsky Bernstein

Arleen Tamsky Bernstein, died February 27. 2014. Dear mother and mother-in-law of Todd (Toni) Zoblotsky and the late Scot Zoblotsky; dear grandmother of Alden Zoblotsky; dear sister and sister-in-law of Maurice (Susan) Tamsky, Morgan (Marilyn) Tamsky and Leonard (Barbara) Tamsky; dear friend of Sheila Sherman and Sandy Wolf, and dear wife of the late Stanley Bernstein. Arleen had a short but brutal battle with cancer and died in loving care surrounded by her son and daughter-in-law, staff at the Memphis Jewish Home, and Crossroads hospice care. Arleen loved St. Louis, especially the Cardinals and always considered St. Louis her home.  She moved to Memphis five years ago to be close to her only grandson Alden (pictured here), and he brought her joy every day of her life.  She also liked dancing, movies, and playing bridge.  Arleen was a beautiful woman with glowing skin who enjoyed getting her hair done weekly all of her life without fail up until the very end. Funeral service Monday, March 3rd, 10 AM at the new Berger Memorial Chapel, 9430 Olive Boulevard, 63132.  Visitation at 9:30 AM.  Interment follows at Chevra Kadisha Cemetery, 1601 North and South Road.  Memorial contributions preferred to the Alzheimer’s Association or to the charity of your choice.  Please visit bergermemorialchapel.com for more information.
