Alvin H. Fry, died February 16, 2011, his birthday, at the age of 91, in Leawood, Kansas, surrounded by his loving family. Husband of 62 years to his wife Gloria; father of Rick & Marcy, John & Jocelyn, Terri & Mark Brukhartz; grandfather of Lindsay, Carrie, Erin, Laura, Jonathan and Audrey. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, he spent his early years as a radio announcer before settling into the family furniture business. He served in WWII and was a Mason, Shriner and an active participant in the ROMEOs (Retired Old Men Eating Out). He had a keen appreciation for the arts, nature, and photography, loved to dance and travel. He will be greatly missed.
