Allan Kottler Bell, 88 of Las Vegas, Nevada, passed away on March 17, 2025. Allan was born in St. Louis, Missouri on September 7, 1936 to parents Molly and Morris Bell. Allan graduated from Soldan High School and Washington University in St. Louis with a BA in business and art. He had a successful career in business, especially enjoying his work in imports which allowed him to travel to Asia over the years. After retiring and moving to Summerlin, Nevada, he volunteered his time for several years as a small business advisor.
Allan married the love of his life, Rose Lee Bell, on June 8, 1958. He was a true family man and cherished the time he spent with his children and grandchildren over the years. He was so proud of their many accomplishments and in his last days continued to speak of the joy he had from their successes. Allan’s other passion was his art. He was a very talented and prolific artist and was always thrilled to gift others one of his paintings. He also taught classes in watercolor painting at Sun City. In addition to his time painting and with his family, he filled his long retirement years with travel, golf, bridge, volunteering and friendships. Despite moving multiple times during his career, he remained a lifelong Cardinals fan(although he was a Browns fan as a child).
Allan is predeceased by wife of 63 years, Rose Lee Bell, of Las Vegas. He is survived by his three children, Maury Bell (Kate Keatley) of Chicago, IL, Richard Bell (Michele) of St. Louis, MO, and Randi Lampert (Robert) of Las Vegas, NV. He is also survived by his seven grandchildren, Jason Bell (Ashley Dalton) of Philadelphia, Zachary Bell (Anushka Kartha) of Los Angeles, Emily Bell of New York City, April and Marshall Bell of Chicago, Aaron Lampert of Austin, and Eleazar Lampert of Cleveland .
Services will be held graveside at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1500 North Las Vegas Boulevard. Shiva will be at the home of Randi and Robert Lampert.
Memorial donations may be made to the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation, St. Louis Art Museum or Zoo or the charity of your choice.
