Albert (Obbie) Price

Albert (Obbie) Price, born January 9, 1923, passed away Sunday morning, April 24. Survived by his wife of 67 years, Edith Werner Price, his sons Thomas and Daniel (married to Kim Heebner Price), and grandchildren Emma, Joseph, and Joshua.

Albert was a graduate of Soldan High School and Washington University. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II, after which he ran a POW camp in southeastern Germany. For many years an active participant in Congregation B’nai Amoona, he served as that synagogue’s youngest President in the 1960’s. After he retired from the Armin Price Textile Company, founded by this father, he devoted more time to the study and practice of painting. His works hang in homes and offices around the world. Funeral service Wednesday, April 27, 10:00 am at Congregation B’nai Amoona, 324 S. Mason Road. Interment following at B’nai Amoona Cemetery.
