Abe Persky, died July 14, 2014 at age 90 at Delmar Gardens West Nursing Facility where he was expertly cared for by the staff for more than 5 years.  Born in New York on February 27, 1924, Abe was a WWII Purple Heart and POW Veterans who loved to dance, play checkers and was an avid sports fan, especially St. Louis Baseball Cardinals. He is survived by his son, Dennis Persky (Hilary); daughter, Barbara Balmuth (Bruce); sister, Anne Goodman; 6 grandchildren, Todd, Chad, Jeff, Lori, Lily and Claudia, their spouses, partners and friends and 6 great-grandchildren.
